Body Safety Australia is an approved supplier on the Department’s School Readiness Funding Menu. Our Body Safety Superstars! program supports the social and emotional wellbeing of children transitioning to primary school, as well as builds capacity in educators and parents/caregivers to empower and protect children from sexual abuse.

About School Readiness Funding
The Victorian Government has recognised the need to provide extra support for kindergartens to boost capacity for children who are transitioning to primary school.
All funded kindergarten programs in Victoria (including long day care) will be eligible for a share of this funding. In 2019, kindergartens in 25 local government areas, as well as all kindergarten services run by Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisations (ACCOs), will receive school readiness funding. By 2021, the program will be fully rolled out to include all areas of Victoria.
School Readiness Funding Menu
Services are required to submit an annual plan for use of the funds in order to receive them. The Victoria State Government has created a School Readiness Funding Menu of evidence-backed supports to provide educators a comprehensive selection of programs and resources to choose from. The three priority areas of focus are access and inclusion, communication (language development), and wellbeing (social and emotional).
