ABOUT BODY SAFETY AUSTRALIA
Body Safety Australia is a not-for-profit promoting childhoods free from violence where children enjoy equitable and respectful relationships. Our organisation delivers abuse prevention and respectful relationships programs in early childhood settings and schools to children, young people, their families and communities and professional development to those who work with children and young people.
We are looking for two experienced Board Members to join our dedicated team in guiding this founder-led organisation.
Qualifications or demonstrable experience in accounting, law, fundraising/philanthropy and not-for-profit governance will be highly regarded.
An understanding of intersectional approaches to the primary prevention of harm, the promotion of wellbeing for minority communities and an understanding of, and the desire to promote, the strengths of marginalised communities is preferred.
Body Safety Australia is Victoria’s leading provider of childhood sexual abuse prevention and has recently expanded into South Australia. We are supporting the early childhood sector and governments in responding to recent cases of abuse and looking for board members who can help govern through this historic moment in changes to legislation and regulations addressing risk of harm to children.
As a Board Member, both your professional and lived experience perspectives will be highly valued.
